Salvatore Bocchetti’s agent says his client is happy at Milan, but can’t guarantee that he’ll make a permanent move to San Siro.

The defender has joined the Rossoneri on loan until June, but Andrea D’Amico is not sure whether he’ll stay beyond that.

“He is happy to be at Milan,” Bocchetti’s representative said.

“Of course they’re an option, and the relationship can continue. I have excellent relations with Spartak [Moscow] and everything was done quickly.

“Of course they’re an option, and the relationship can continue. I have excellent relations with Spartak [Moscow] and everything was done quickly.

“He was an important player for Spartak, then they changed Coach and things went differently, that can happen.

“He’s a player with great physical and technical skills, and is an intelligent guy. He has the personality to play for Milan, which means not only playing well on the pitch, but being a good guy off it.

“I was sure of the lad’s qualities, both as a player and a man. Also, because he showed at Genoa and Rubin Kazan – before his injury – that he’s a great player.

“I’m amazed he hasn’t been called up for the national team since the 2010 World Cup.

“I’m happy for him and for Milan that this opportunity presented itself.”
