Doubts over Bacca’s commitment to Milan surfaced after it emerged that he attended a match involving his former club Sevilla over the weekend, despite Milan taking on Empoli at the same time, and visited his ex-teammates in training on Monday morning.

Nonetheless, Sergio Barila told Tuttomercatoweb: “Why did he go? Personal issues, he went to visit a friend and Milan knew about it.

“The January transfer window? It doesn’t concern us.

“Links with Valencia? I don’t know anything because we’re happy at Milan and Carlos can’t wait to return.

“Carlos wants to stay at Milan, and Milan are pleased with Carlos. He wants to qualify for European competitions with the Rossoneri.

“He’s working for that and he’s only focused on Milan, he wants to do his best for the Rossoneri.

“No call from Spain? The answer remains the same: Carlos wants to stay at Milan. He’ll remain Rossonero.”
