Juventus are seeing their list of options to replace Matthijs de Ligt whittled down, as after Kalidou Koulibaly, Chelsea also now want Presnel Kimpembe.
The Bianconeri need to find a suitable centre-back should De Ligt make his desired move to Bayern Munich this summer.
Max Allegri has a list of choices for the new name, but is finding all of them rather difficult to secure.
Napoli defender Koulibaly has already flown out this evening to complete his €40m transfer to Chelsea, agreeing a salary worth circa €10m per season including add-ons.
Torino’s Gleison Bremer is another candidate, but he seems to have chosen Inter and is pushing for the Nerazzurri.
Kimpembe was mentioned as a potential target, although he too now would appear to be in negotiations with Chelsea, as The Athletic claim the Paris Saint-Germain asking price is €50m plus bonuses.
Pau Torres of Villarreal is in the running, although here too the cost would be in the region of €50m.
The most likely option now is Arsenal centre-back Gabriel, who might be slightly cheaper at €40m and is left-footed.
These deluded Juve and PhD fans just don’t get it and never will. They actually thought that Rudiger and Koulibaly were coming. The same ones that now think Bremer will be the back up option. Spanish players can be hit and miss in Italy (Frittata). Forget about Kimpembe and Kounde. EPL teams have money and that is all that matters. I will give them some credit. The Dutch Phil Jones was a steal 3 years ago, but has not lived up to the promise. Time is on his side and he is going to a superior football club. @ the kid who gets no love. since when is Bremer Spanish??? Get your facts straight mate. Anyways, what we need is not to overspend on a center back who has not proved himself on a big stage yet. De Ligt will be a great center back in the future, but honestly he has not proven to be above average since he signed for us. He did have some excellent games last season, but he has also been very clumsy with his hands since joining. We need a descent center back who can replace De Ligt. Gabriel would be a good addition and Bremer would do the job. We also got Gati and Rugani who did a very good job last season. I think our defense was bad last season because Juve faded mentally during games. They could not keep the concentration levels up. I hope Pogba and Di Maria can become an inspiration and resolve that.

Bremer would be a good replacement for De Ligt because he has some experience in the league. Gabriel would also be a good signing because Brazilian defenders usually adopt very well to the Italian league. Your boy Pau is a good defender, but it would take him probably a couple of years to get used to playing style and for him to be a solid replacement for Bonucci or De Ligt.
