After Antonio Conte seemed to rule himself out of the Napoli job, there are reports that the club is seeking advice from his old Tottenham Hotspur and Juventus director Fabio Paratici instead.

There continue to be suggestions that Rudi Garcia is going to be sacked over the break for international duty and Conte had been the number one choice to replace him.

However, today Conte announced via Instagram Stories that his priority right now is to continue taking time out from work and enjoying time with his family.

He has been out of the business since terminating his contract with Tottenham by mutual consent in March.

According to Calciomercato.com and Radio Radio, Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis has also approached former Spurs and Juve director Paratici to potentially work with him as a consultant.

Paratici cannot be hired as a director of sport because he is still sitting out a 30-month ban imposed for his part in inflating Juventus transfer fees to boost capital gains.

It means he is not legally allowed to hold negotiations with clubs or agents, but can act as a consultant to clubs.

Napoli parted company with Cristiano Giuntoli over the summer so he could join Juventus, hiring former Lecce and Spezia director of sport Mauro Meluso.
