Fiorentina patron Andrea Della Valle admits both they and Juventus could’ve had penalties in their 0-0 draw.

Mario Gomez protested at a shirt tug from Giorgio Chiellini in the first half, while in stoppages Paul Pogba’s flick was stopped by David Pizarro’s hand.

“We played on a par with Juve, putting in a great performance against the Bianconeri,” Della Valle told reporters at the Stadio Franchi. “At times we were even superior.

“The penalty? The referee was excellent and perhaps there was something for Juve in the second half too. Gomez did well, he’s improving.

“Now we have to think about the next two very important games to figure out what our objectives really are this season.”

 

Juan Guillermo Cuadrado was booked and will be suspended for next week’s match with Cesena.
