Milan striker Luiz Adriano is ‘curious and excited for Sunday’ and says he wouldn’t make any changes for the derby with Inter.

The Brazilian arrived from Shakhtar Donetsk in the summer and is preparing for his first experience of the Derby della Madonnina, but believes his previous derby experiences will help him adjust.

“I’m very curious and excited for Sunday, San Siro will be a real sight,” he told Gazzetta dello Sport.

“I’ve come from playing in derbies that stopped the entire country, like the matches against Dinamo Kiev.

“And at Porto Alegre, when my Internacional met Gremio – even there, everything shut down, and the match was the only thing that mattered.

“I wouldn’t make any changes if I was Mihajlovic, not even in general terms. We are studying our opponents a lot, he is very attentive both on the pitch as well at the blackboard. And he’s very strict.

“It’s true that here at Milan I start several metres further back from what I’m used to. It’s simply a situation that we’re trying out in training. At first I interpreted the role in a very different way, but now this is how it is and I must adapt.

“My objective is to score as many goals as possible, to help Milan get back to the Champions League and to win the league.”
