Napoli signed only youngster Zinedine Machach in January, despite being heavily linked with a slew of wingers, but De Laurentiis insisted “we’ve already bought the players we wanted”, while he would be “very sorry” if his Coach left the club.

“I give our market a 10 because we always have prospective signings in mind,” the President told Premium Sport.

“We’ve already bought the players that we wanted, but that’s only because – through training – they’ve learned how to play Sarri’s game.

“Someone couldn’t come in because of family problems [Younes], but we’ve already bought players who will arrive in July and we’ll buy others too.

“We’ll have to intervene for a right-back and also a goalkeeper. Sarri? I’d be very sorry if someone took him away from us, but I can’t force him to stay.

“if there’s a release clause, we’ll have to take note of it. I’d gladly have it removed.”
