The Partenopei are top of Serie A, and it’s expected they’ll make investments in the January transfer window to strengthen Maurizio Sarri’s squad.

The first new arrival will be Chievo striker Inglese, who was bought in the summer and loaned back to the Flying Donkeys.

“Inglese will arrive, full stop,” De Laurentiis said before yesterday’s Sampdoria game, as reported by Corriere del Mezzogiorno.

“As for the names I’ve read in the newspapers in recent days [Machach and Younes] nothing is certain yet, and even if they arrived they’d be considered investments with potential.

“They could go out on loan.

“The Scudetto? I’d like to win it, sure, but not in an episodic way. Winning means taking on the responsibility of being at the top.”
