Francesco Acerbi reportedly met with Inter directors this evening and again denied he said anything racist against Napoli defender Juan Jesus.

They were caught on camera conversing with the referee during the 1-1 draw at San Siro on Sunday, where Juan Jesus told the official that he had been racially abused.

Speaking to DAZN afterwards, Juan Jesus said that Acerbi had “apologised” for going over the line, but when the Inter man was sent home from the Italy squad over the incident and told reporters he had not said anything racist, the Brazilian responded angrily on Instagram.

La Gazzetta dello Sport claim that Acerbi met with the Inter directors today and reiterated his denial of ever making racist comments towards Juan Jesus.

Acerbi is set to give the same version of events to the FIGC prosecutor Giuseppe Chiné tomorrow via videoconference.

Juan Jesus and the referee will also speak to the prosecutor, who requested extra investigation after receiving the regular referee’s report.

If found guilty of racist abuse, Acerbi could face a 10-match Serie A ban.
