Francesco Acerbi says he’d welcome Manchester City and Italy ace Mario Balotelli to Milan. “I’d go and pick him up.”

Super Mario is again being paired with a switch to the Rossoneri after President Silvio Berlusconi seemed to open the door for a January bid.

“Balotelli is a great player who would be of use to any team,” the centre-back noted to Sky Sport Italia. “I’d be more than happy if he came here.

“Actually, I’d even go to England and pick him up.”

Acerbi himself joined the Diavolo in the summer, but he hasn’t featured regularly even if he did play in last night’s 1-0 loss to Zenit.

“Getting on the pitch only does me good, even if I’m tired now after this match and the one against Catania. If you don’t play often, it’s normal to feel fatigue.

“My future? I’ll be staying in January so long as that is what Milan want…”

The player’s agent insisted on Monday that the club had told him that the former Chievo player was going nowhere.
