The Neroverdi stunned the struggling champions 1-0 thanks to a Nicola Sansone free kick, in a match in which Giorgio Chiellini was also sent off for the Bianconeri.
Centre-back Acerbi praised his teams performance and believes it was the right result.
“We didn’t risk too much, but it’s a deserved win,” he said to Sky.

“At the end they attacked and had fresh forwads. It’s just what we needed, also because we played a few days ago and we were a bit tired.
“The most important thing is to stay humble, then we will see where we are in March.”
