Christian Abbiati has praised the impact that Clarence Seedorf has had on the team since coming in as Coach.

The former midfielder was named as Massimiliano Allegri’s successor last month, and the goalkeeper has admitted that the Dutchman has brought new ideas to the table.

“Seedorf’s impact has been great,” he told Milan Channel. “He’s come in and changed things around.

“He’s brought in some new ideas, and hopefully they will make a difference on the pitch.

“Obviously though, the sacking of Allegri was a disappointment for us players – it shows that we have failed.”

The goalkeeper then commented on reports that Michael Agazzi will come in next season, and the upcoming Champions League clash with Atletico Madrid.

“I’m not thinking about my future at the moment. But competition is always good for a goalkeeper.

“Atletico Madrid? It’s going to be a great game. In my opinion, in terms of form, they are the best team in Europe.”
