Christian Abbiati is convinced Milan have what it takes to qualify for Champions League football again next season.

The Diavolo will need to finish in the top three to reach that achievement, but they are presently down in tenth place and 15 points behind the European Cup zone.

“The gap in points is big, but we know that we can reach third,” the goalkeeper commented to Sky Sport Italia.

“The gap in points is big, but we know that we can reach third,” the goalkeeper commented to Sky Sport Italia.

“We can comeback, just as we did last season – we have all the cards we need to do that. It’s just a shame that we have started poorly.”

Milan will entertain Genoa on Saturday night ahead of the midweek trip to Celtic in the Champions League.

“We have to start winning and we’ll have that opportunity against Genoa,” added the shot-stopper. “A win is a must.”
