Milan defender Ignazio Abate has commented on the transfer rumours linking him with a possible move to Juventus.

The Old Lady are understood to be monitoring his situation given that he has a year-and-a-half left on his present San Siro contract.

“The interest from Juventus? It is pleasing to be wanted by the great clubs, but it is too soon to be talking about these things,” the right-back told Sky Sport Italia.

“There is plenty of time to discuss my future. Right now I just want to end the season as well as possible with Milan and then we’ll see.

“My agreement expires in 2015 and we’ll evaluate things at that time. Right now it is too early to do so.”

Abate, now represented by Mino Raiola, is a 27-year-old Italian international who is a product of the Milan youth system.

However, he only made his League debut for the club in 2009 after loans spells at Napoli, Piacenza, Modena, Empoli and Torino.
