De Rossi and his agent have been negotiating with the Giallorossi since the start of the season, but agreeing personal terms is proving problematic.

The Italian international reportedly wants a salary of around €7m, whereas the club’s initial offer was of closer to €5m.

Greco, meanwhile, is a 25-year-old who impressed with the Giallorossi last season under previous boss Claudio Ranieri.

De Rossi has one goal in 11 Serie A games this term, while Greco has appeared in just three top-flight matches under Luis Enrique.
