Novara boss Attilio Tesser has admitted an interest in Napoli fringe player Giuseppe Mascara.

The fantasista has been paired with a January move to the Stadio Piola outfit after struggling to get a game at the San Paolo this term.

“Mascara is an excellent player,” Tesser told Radio Kiss Kiss. “There are a lot of players around who would be regulars with certain other clubs.

“I’ll be meeting with the Novara directors very soon to start discussions about our January market moves.”

Mascara joined Napoli last season after an impressive spell at Catania. He’s played in seven games so far this term across all competitions, scoring just the one goal.
