“I always believed in this project and these people, so I am happy for myself and for our fans,” Donnarumma told DAZN.

“There was disappointment at the start, but we brought back enthusiasm and I’m happy. I’m reclaiming what was taken from me. I want to celebrate this promotion, because I deserved it.”

Donnarumma has reason to be annoyed, as over the last two Serie B seasons, he has scored 46 goals.

At the age of 28, he should finally get his Serie A debut thanks to the 25 goals for Brescia this season.
