Sky Sport Italia transfer pundit Gianluca Di Marzio claims Milan are in talks with Chelsea to get Romelu Lukaku, even though Antonio Conte wants him at Napoli.

The Belgium international played twice for their arch-rivals Inter, then spent this season on loan at Roma, but is not part of the future plans at Stamford Bridge.

He is eager to come back to Serie A once again and it was assumed this would be for Napoli, where he could reunite with his former Inter coach Conte.

Milan still open to Lukaku

Instead, Di Marzio suggests this evening there has been new contact between Chelsea and Milan for Lukaku, with the Rossoneri also planning a meeting with the player’s entourage to discuss personal terms.

Napoli are unable to make any push for a new striker until Victor Osimhen finds a buyer, which is why they reportedly lowered the asking price to €100m for the Nigeria international.

Bringing Lukaku to Milan would be a very controversial decision, especially considering his past at Inter and the clashes he had with former player – now club director – Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

  1. @MilanFan hey, Football Italia needs to create another rumor to fill up their timeline. Don’t mind ’em.

  2. lmao romano wanna be. di marzio is romano senior and he is on this business long before him and he is famous for his credible rumour. show respect to him kid.

  3. @Milan Fan, looks like you’re new to the party. Di Marzio has been around a lot time, long long before Fabrizio. He’s one of the pioneers so as Paratici said, show a lil more respect.
GDM is one of the best out there, has been for years…in terms of timing of news and integrity. Fabrizio once worked with/for GDM as well.
Hope that sheds some light for you. Grazie.
