Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic says the Bianconeri exceeded his expectations and insists he loves the club and Turin.

Vlahovic has scored 12 goals in Serie A this season, including seven in the last six league appearances.

He was expected to leave the Allianz Stadium last summer in a swap deal with Chelsea for Romelu Lukaku, but in the end, the two clubs did not reach an agreement, and Vlahovic seems unwilling to leave Turin now.

“I love this city and this club; I feel well at Juventus; they have exceeded my expectations.” He told BeIn Sports as quoted by Calciomercato.com.

Vlahovic joined Juventus in an €80m deal from Fiorentina in January 2022 and has netted 35 times in 85 games with the Old Lady.

He also scored a goal for Serbia in the 2022 World Cup, but he was struggling with injuries then, so he wasn’t entirely convincing in Qatar.

“It was not the experience I hoped for. I was not even fit to train, it was difficult for me mentally,” he admitted.

“I could not do what I wanted despite having a big chance in a competition like the World Cup.”

The 24-year-old also spoke about the recent racist insults aimed at Milan keeper Mike Maignan in a Serie A game between Udinese and Milan at the end of January.

“A hug to Maignan who is not alone,” he said.

“We are all with him and we’ll do everything to prevent these things from happening in football. It is not acceptable to discriminate against somebody for the colour of their skin. We play and live together, we are all the same.”
