Stefano Pioli is set to meet with Milan’s directors today following the team’s painful Derby della Madonnina loss to Inter.

The Rossoneri disappointed for a fifth consecutive time in the derby with the Nerazzurri, suffering a 5-1 loss after goals from Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Marcus Thuram, Hakan Calhanoglu and Davide Frattesi, leaving them dejected and frustrated in front of a Stadio Giuseppe Meazza at full capacity.

Milan have lose five derbies to Inter in 2023, putting up a combined scoreline of 12-1, causing some fans to start losing faith in Pioli, who broke a decade-long wait for the Scudetto in the 2021-22 season.

As highlighted by MilanNews, Pioli and his Milan squad will carry out a training session at Milanello today and afterward the coach will meet with the club’s management, who want to analyse and dissect the 5-1 loss to Inter.

The Rossoneri need to bounce back fast as their first game in the Champions League against Newcastle kicks off on September 19.
