Simone Inzaghi has written himself into the history books at Inter following their 5-1 thrashing of rivals Milan.

The Nerazzurri continued their recent dominance in the Derby della Madonnina in front of a sell-out crowd at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on Saturday evening, flying to an impressive victory over the Rossoneri.

Goals from Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Marcus Thuram, Hakan Calhanoglu and Davide Frattesi guided Inter to the win over Milan, whose only consolation goal came from star man Rafael Leao. The defeat has reignited debates amongst fans regarding Stefano Pioli’s ability in the dugout.

As highlighted by Corriere dello Sport via FcInter1908, Inzaghi has now made Inter history by becoming the first coach to guide them to five consecutive Derby della Madonnina wins, putting up a combined goal tally of 12-1.

For his Milan counterpart, patience is starting to wear thin and Pioli will have to find a way to change the story in the second derby of the season in April next year.
