Inter have finalised the deal with Sampdoria to sign Emil Audero on loan with option to buy, as the details are now emerging.

The shot-stopper will be their second choice behind Yann Sommer, effectively replacing Samir Handanovic in the squad.

According to Sky Sport Italia, it will be a loan with option to make the move permanent for €6.5m plus €0.5m in bonuses.

Audero has already agreed a three-year contract that will be worth circa €1.2m per season plus add-ons, so not dissimilar to the salary he had at Sampdoria.

In turn, Samp are also expected to receive teenage goalkeeper Filip Stankovic on loan from Inter.

Audero is 26 years old and came up through the Juventus youth academy, going on loan to Venezia before making the Sampdoria move permanent for a total €21m in 2019.

There had also been suggestions of interest from Lazio, but Sportitalia insist there was no formal approach, as first they must sell Luis Maximiano to Almeria.
