Inter shocked Milan in the first half of a Champions League semi-final at San Siro with goals from Edin Dzeko and Henrikh Mkhitaryan in the opening 11 minutes and Stefano Pioli looked ‘dejected’ in the dug-out.

The Nerazzurri are dominating at the Stadio Meazza and shocked their city rivals with two goals in the opening stages of a Champions League semi-final first leg on Wednesday.

Edin Dzeko had opened the account with a surgical volley finish at minute 8, while Mkhitaryan scored the second only three minutes later.

It could have been more as Inter had at least two more chances to score again, while VAR ruled out a penalty kick for the Nerazzurri for a Simon Kjaer foul on Lautaro Martinez.

Amazon Prime’s pitchside reporter Alessandro Alciato, who is closely monitoring Milan boss Stefano Pioli, said the Italian tactician was ‘angry’ during the first half but towards the end, he looked ‘dejected.’

Inter are leading 2-0 at half-time. The Nerazzurri are the fourth team to take a two-goal lead in the opening 11 minutes of a Champions League semi-final. Follow the match live on the Liveblog.
