Two sides unbeaten since the Serie A restart meet at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday and these Roma vs. Fiorentina predictions suggest that it could be the home side that continues the streak.

Roma vs. Fiorentina odds

1 – Roma to win – 1/1

2 – Under 2.5 goals scored – 4/5

3 – Both teams not to score – 10/11

4 – 1-0 full time score – 6/1

5 – Tammy Abraham to score first – 4/1

Roma’s fine form continued at the weekend, but the Giallorossi left it late at San Siro. Jose Mourinho’s side were two goals down with just minutes to play before Roger Ibañez clawed one back and then Tammy Abraham snatched a point.

The English striker has not enjoyed the best of seasons so far – especially after his performances last term – but that goal could be pivotal. If he can get another one this weekend against Fiorentina his confidence will come flooding back.

That could well happen and Roma will invariably play it very tight as usual, looking for a simple, low-scoring victory. Three points will also keep Roma in the hunt for a Champions League place and keep up with the likes of Atalanta, Lazio and Inter.

Fiorentina have picked up four points from the two games played since Serie A returned at the start of the month. But head coach Vincenzo Italiano will have expected at least that considering the opponents – and will know this weekend’s game should be more difficult.

A victory at the Stadio Olimpico would be a surprise but a defeat would extend the gap between the Viola and the group of clubs chasing the European places. That should mean a close game on Sunday.

Italiano does have a few injury problems to deal with though, so don’t expect too much of an attacking threat. It could be the home side that is forced to be on the front foot at the Stadio Olimpico.

Roma vs. Fiorentina line-ups

Roma (3-4-2-1): Patricio; Smalling, Mancini, Kumbulla; Çelik, Pellegrini, Cristante, Zalewski; Dybala, Zaniolo; Abraham

Fiorentina (4-2-3-1): Gollini; Venuti, Milenković, Igor, Biraghi; Duncan, Amrabat; Ikoné, Bonaventura, Kouamé; Saponara

Roma team news

Roger Ibañez will miss this one after picking up another yellow card in the draw with Milan, so Jose Mourinho will have to turn to Marash Kumbulla at the back. But there has been some good news on the injury front. Georginio Wijnaldum has made good progress and could be back in the squad in the next few weeks.

Fiorentina team news

Vincenzo Italiano may have to make a number of changes for the trip to the capital, with some important players set to miss the trip through injury. Keeper Terracciano may be absent, with Pierluigi Gollini ready to step up as the replacement. Arthur Cabral could also join Riccardo Sottil and Rolando Mandragora sitting this out, so he will need to use his squad well to come away with anything this weekend.
