“It’s a huge loss for the Vialli and Mihajlovic families and for all of us who were close to them,” Stankovic told DAZN.
“There is a lot of emotion today at Marassi and we must transform that into strength, because there are two angels watching us today and firing us up.
“With their help, I am sure we will make Marassi into our fortress.”
Some of Mihajlovic’s children are present at the stadium for this match, while Sampdoria President Marco Lanna held up Vialli’s jersey and Stankovic clutched that of his fellow Serbian.
