Tottenham are reportedly in talks with Udinese for talented full back Destiny Udogie.

The 19-year-old Italian left back rose to prominence last season after an incredible debut season with the Friulian side. Udogie scored five goals and provided three assists in 35 Serie A appearances for Udinese, showing off his skills both offensively and defensively.

As reported by Sky Sports, Tottenham are working on a deal for Udogie and they could agree to pay Udinese around €25m, including add-ons, for the 19-year-old. Spurs are also willing to leave the full back in Italy for another year, allowing him to continue his development in Serie A.

Contracted to Udinese until 2026, Udogie has attracted the attention of a number of clubs this summer, but none have sent in a convincing offer to the Friulian side.

Tottenham coach Antonio Conte is known for his impressive ability to develop wing backs, so the 22-year-old will almost certainly be keen on the move, with the Premier League ever-alluring.

  1. He is not slow enough to replace Sandro. Great to see Italian players going to more competitive Leagues.

  2. Didn’t think he was that great last year imo. Serie a needs to sort out their tv deal and make some money this is getting ridiculous

  3. He can return to Italy when he is over 30. Predictable and sad that Italian clubs never learn lessons.

  4. @gino thing is gino even if udinese get extra 10m euros from tv deal – that wont buy many good players.

Realistically italy economy is way behind the UK and also serie a needs to expand to other markets and most importantly they need to play faster / better football to achieve this

  5. Another player who is too young to make such a risky move! Foreign clubs don’t owe our national pool anything! He and scamacca could be quickly discarded and on the scrapheap! Woeful times
