Reports are spreading rapidly that Paris Saint-Germain will beat Milan to Renato Sanches, because the offer is only half the €30m asking price set by Lille.

The Portugal international has agreed terms with Milan for many weeks and had also been close to a potential transfer in January.

However, the Rossoneri are nowhere near matching the €30m asking price, as they have so far proposed only a maximum of €15m.

Sanches will be out of contract in June 2023, which is why they hope to low-ball the offer, but now have serious competition from PSG.

After le10sport suggested Paris Saint-Germain had begun negotiations, now respected RMC Sport also claim the talks are in full flow.

New PSG director Luis Campos previously worked at LOSC and so did the man who will take over as coach in Paris, Christophe Galtier.

This would be the second player Milan risk losing because of a low offer to Lille, as they are in a similar situation with Newcastle United ready to pay circa double their proposal for defender Sven Botman.

  1. Is this what red bird is all about? We can’t even close out deals anymore?? When something like this takes other teams a couple of days it takes us months? I’m starting to doubt this takeover. Would have been much better off with the oil money. We can’t renew contracts, we cant sign players. It’s ridiculous

  2. PSG will never win UCL anytime soon. Milan, on the other hand, will likely win UCL next season. It will be his mistake going to PSG.

  3. To be honest I am more worried about Maldini hasnt signed his extention yet than any of these rumoured deals..

Once Maldini signed, I think most of us would be tranquil and calm, as his signature guarantees that Redbird is for real.

  4. PSG kan gjøre hva de vil fordi Qatar eier FIFA akkurat som PSG.
De kan bruke så mye penger de vil, det er ingen Fair Play-regel for dem.

  5. Very disappointed, but typical of a Serie A club sadly, As a Milan fan I hope Pobega gets minutes instead of being dumped again just because he is italian…. and I hope we don’t just buy some random low cost foreign player just for the sake of it

  6. @Dennis.

What do you want, exactly? To overspend and then get suspended from European competitions?

Let’s just say these reports are true. Even IF Milan match Lille’s valuation, PSG will blow Milan out of the water with the wages they’d offer. They’ve literally got a cash machine back in Qatar or wherever they are to print money presented as ‘sponsorships’.

  7. Dont worry about it.

Treat football transfers like girlfriends (or boyfriends) – there’s plenty of other people to choose from and eventually you’ll realise they were only ever interested in your money and will probably leave as soon as they get a better offer.

Find someone like Tonali who will do anything to be with you.

    Have patience.

  8. First Yonghong Li, then Elliott, now no bird. I wouldn’t blame Maldini for leaving, if the club were content with their scudetto, but not to build on it. I would also be amazed if the title did not go back to Inter. Only Inzaghi can mess it up now.

  9. @LORD as you often say CALMAAA!!! Let’s see what happens as we do not need to get carried away. Inter have out spent us for many years and are still in a dire financial situation. I have no idea how they run that club, from paying Dybala and now Lukaku, all at the same time. Even if they sell, I am sure they will have to sacrifice again in 2023. I will agree that Maldini is the issue. If we lose him then things get tricky. Look at what happened with Marotta when Juve tossed him aside. Sometimes people are not replaceable and they need to be treated with the respect that have earned.

  10. @Rosaio what I want i for serie a to buck it’s ideas up, how many more years can our league carry on like this, if we cant get him then fair enough but I don’t want some “panic buy” in his place as all our clubs have a bad habit of this, and I also added I hope Pobega plays… I’m not accepting mediocrity like the rest of italian fans do. If you don’t like it tough

  11. @Dennis.

It isn’t mediocrity. It is the reality. This isn’t 2003 anymore. We are in 2022 and unless we print our own money, where are we somehow supposed to come up with the cash?? This isn’t the money league of England. Between 2005 and Klopp joining liverpool, Liverpool spent big pretty much every summer despite achieving virtually nothing on the pitch. We don’t have the capability to throw money around that we don’t have. I suggest you go and follow money ball teams who have either the power at league or ownership levels to throw money around like there’s no tomorrow.

  12. The thing that’s annoying is how Milan look like the only club who gets linked to players for a long time and according to every “reliable” outlet it’s a done deal, only for it to never happen in the end. Milan have been trying for a year and at least two windows to buy both Sanches and Botman.

Now in this case, 15m, maybe 20m is fair for a player that has only one year left on his contract and has been extremely injury prone, but if PSG want to continue ruining football with their madness, there’s nothing one can do.

The situation with Maldini is starting to worry me too.
