Genoa wing-back Andrea Cambiaso is ‘wanted by both Inter and Juventus, we’ll see who wins the race,’ confirmed his agent.
The 22-year-old plays primarily on the left side of defence or midfield, but can also work on the right or even in a more central role.
His contract with relegated Genoa only runs to June 2023, so a sale is likely this summer after he contributed one goal and four assists in 26 Serie A appearances this season, with the asking price at €10-15m.
“Cambiaso is wanted by both Inter and Juventus, we’ll see who wins the race,” agent Giovanni Bia told Sportitalia.
Does the player have any preference between the two Serie A giants?
“It makes no difference to him, both are important clubs.”
Many others had also been linked with a move for Cambiaso, including Napoli, Sassuolo, Atalanta, Bologna, Salernitana and Spanish side Sevilla.
A product of the Genoa youth academy who was born in the port city, he has five caps for Italy at Under-21 level and is two-footed, giving him extra versatility.
The player barely featured after February due to a knee injury, making his comeback in the final match of the season on May 21.
