Napoli captain Lorenzo Insigne was asked about his contractual situation after scoring a brace in the 3-0 win over Bologna on Thursday. ‘You always think about the same thing’.

The Azzurri star was the man of the hour when he bagged two penalties on either side of the interval at the Stadio Diego Maradona.

Napoli bounced back from the 0-0 draw with Roma and secured their ninth win in Serie A this term, climbing back to the top of Serie A after Milan’s 1-0 win over Torino on Tuesday.

Insigne, who said he was calm before slotting home the two penalties, was also asked about his current contractual situation in Naples.

Insigne tempted by Man Utd and Inter?

The local hero has turned 30 and his contract with the Partenopei expires after the current campaign, but he continues to perform during the games.

Insigne has scored four goals in 10 Serie A games and has added one in three Europa League ties so far this term.

But the Italy international has yet to renew with the club and could potentially enter talks with other clubs in January, as Inter are mentioned as possible suitors.

“You always think about the same thing,” Insigne told Sky Sport Italia after the final whistle. “I only think about playing.

“The President and my agent take care of the other things.”
