Italy U21 start their journey towards the European Championship against Luxembourg, with Milan midfielder Sandro Tonali and Juventus youngster Nicolò Fagioli in the starting line-up.

The match kicks off at 17.30 local time and 16.30 UK time at the Castellani in Empoli.

Paolo Nicolato’s lads are playing the first match when aiming for the European U21 Championship and Luxembourg arrives after defeats to Sweden and Montenegro.

There are great expectations for Milan midfielder Tonali and Juventus youngster Fagioli, whilst Inter loanee Sebastiano Esposito, who is currently on loan at FC Basel, starts on the bench.

But the 19-year-old could play an important part for the Azzurrini this term. Genoa midfielder Nicolò Rovella is another player to keep an eye out for in the midfield trident.
