Arturo Vidal has reportedly rejected another possible move away from Inter, as he wants to remain at San Siro and fight for a place in the line-up.

Inter are reportedly hoping to get rid of the Chilean midfielder, who currently blocks the possible operations on the transfer market, with the Nahitan Nandez case the most concrete example.

The Nerazzurri can’t close a deal with Cagliari and the Uruguayan midfielder, as there’s an abundance of midfielder on the pay list of the club and Calciomercato.com reports Vidal is not willing to let go.

Radja Nainggolan moved to Antwerp in his homeland Belgium, whilst Joao Mario has moved to Porto. At least one between Vidal and Matias Vecino are expected to follow them out the door.

Simone Inzaghi reportedly wants to keep Vecino in the squad, whilst Vidal is declining the possible offers and intends to remain at San Siro.

Vidal signed a contract worth €7m a season upon his arrival ahead of 2020-21 and it expires next year.

La Tercera reports Vidal has turned down offers from Flamengo and Club America, before he refused a move to Inter Miami in MLS.

Vidal reportedly wants to fight for a place in the squad and participate towards a second Scudetto with Inter and a chance to continue his career in the Champions League.

  1. “wants to fight for a place…” – nothing to do with the 7M/year. 🙂
Why dont they offer him publicly half of that money considering the club’s financial situation?
