The Bianconeri had been expected to miss Chiesa and Dybala, as they were struggling with muscular problems and an infection respectively, but there was a surprise in today’s report from Turin.

“In today's afternoon session at the JTC, the group, under the orders of Mister Andrea Pirlo, worked on technique and combinations. Paulo Dybala and Federico Chiesa also managed to train for the entire session with the group.”

Both had missed international duty due to their fitness concerns.

Leonardo Bonucci and Giorgio Chiellini are still out of action, so Matthijs de Ligt will get his first game since undergoing shoulder surgery in August.

It’ll be an all-new back three of Merih Demiral, De Ligt and Danilo, which pundits are already referring to as 3D or DDD, in reference to the famous BBC of Barzagli-Bonucci-Chiellini.
