The Round of 16 tie kicks off at the Stadio Olimpico on Monday at 20.00 GMT.
Coach Eusebio Di Francesco had already confirmed that Manolas and El Shaarawy were not 100 per cent fit, while Alessandro Florenzi needs to be evaluated and may well start from the bench.
Manolas, El Shaarawy and De Rossi are all dealing with injury and won’t take part in this match.
