Reports suggest Patrik Schick could be set to replace Edin Dzeko in the Roma line up against Milan this evening.

The young forward has been an unused substitute for his side’s last two matches against Udinese and Shakhtar Donetsk as he continues to regain fitness following a muscular injury.

However, multiple news sources in Italy claim Giallorossi Coach Eusebio Di Francesco will opt to start Bosnian Dzeko on the bench this evening.

However, multiple news sources in Italy claim Giallorossi Coach Eusebio Di Francesco will opt to start Bosnian Dzeko on the bench this evening.

The 31-year-old has started all but one of Roma’s Serie A matches this season but, having also played the full 90 minutes of Wednesday evening’s Champions League match in Ukraine, it appears his boss may opt to give him a break.

Schick has endured a slightly frustrating first season at the Stadio Olimpico since joining from Sampdoria last summer, scoring just once and sustaining a string of injuries.

However, he may well get his chance to shine tonight if he takes Dzeko’s place as the focal point of the Roma attack.
