Roberto Mancini, Max Allegri and Luciano Spalletti are the favourites to replace Antonio Conte at Juventus.

The Coach announced this evening he had terminated his contract by mutual consent, just two days into pre-season training.

While Conte is expected to take over from Cesare Prandelli as Italy boss after the World Cup debacle, the issue of who will be the new Juventus tactician is trickier.

The hot favourites right now are ex-Galatasaray, Manchester City and Inter manager Mancini, who is a free agent after leaving the Turkish side due to a disagreement over transfer strategy.

It was Mancini's Galatasaray who knocked Juventus out of the Champions League in the group phase.

Allegri is also available, but would be a controversial choice for several reasons.

He was sacked as Milan Coach in January and was also the main reason Andrea Pirlo left San Siro in 2011, as he did not want to play the midfielder in his favoured role.

Spalletti was fired by Russian club Zenit in March and had challenged for the Scudetto while at Roma.

Another alternative is Francesco Guidolin, who retired from coaching this summer to become a director at Udinese” data-scaytid=”38″>Udinese.

Guidolin had quit due to the pressures of the job, so it is unlikely he’d come out of retirement for the most high-pressure job of all.
