Verona’s new signing Ivan Pillud is hoping for a debut this weekend against former teammate Dani Osvaldo.
Full-back Pillud signed for Hellas in the January transfer window and could be in line for a first appearance in Week 23’s home test to Juve.
It is a match that could pit the 27-year-old Argentine up against former Espanyol teammate Osvaldo, who is seen as likely to play some part on Sunday.

“I have always followed Serie A, it is beautiful and wide-ranging,” Pillud has reflected in his presentation this week.
“I hope to come up against Osvaldo, he and I were teammates and I know him well.
“Verona? I know I have come to an important team, this is a very significant opportunity for me and I hope to make the most of it.
“I am happy to be here, the talks were quick and easy, there were never any problems.”
