Giuseppe Rossi is reportedly on the verge of signing a new Fiorentina contract, lowering his current salary.
The player has barely been able to contribute to the Viola campaigns in the last few years as his long history of knee injuries kept him sidelined.
His contract extension will reflect Rossi's new, lower status in the team's hierarchies as the player's salary is set to be reduced.
According to Il Corriere Fiorentino, the player will earn €1.7m yearly, down from the current deal for €2.4m.
