Police in Milan have reportedly arrested 14 Dinamo Zagreb ultras in possession of knives, clubs and smoke bombs ahead of this evening’s Champions League clash.

Around 4000 members of the ‘Bad Blue Boys’ ultra group are expected to attend the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza today to watch the Croatian side take on the Rossoneri in the second Champions League group game of the season.

Calciomercato.com details how 14 Dinamo Zagreb ultras have been reported and arrested for possessing knives, clubs and smoke bombs ahead of the match against Milan. The Rossoneri have ordered that fans cannot sit in sections below the away end to avoid being subject to thrown objects.

Police presence is particularly heavy tonight in order to prevent any violence before, during and after the match, scheduled for 18.45 local time in the Lombardy capital. The Prefect of Milan has banned the sale of alcohol in the city centre tonight in order to try and limit any violence.
