Barcelona Coach Ernesto Valverde declares “we can’t think we’ve already won, it’s all to be decided” ahead of tomorrow’s Roma game.

The Catalan giants hold a 4-1 lead from last week’s first leg, so they’re heavy favourites to progress to the semi-finals of the Champions League.

“It’ll be the same kind of game as the first leg, but they’ll have even more intensity,” Valverde predicted in his pre-match Press conference.

“When you’re behind you immediately want to score to get back on track and that’s what I think they’ll want to do. We’ll have to play a good match to go through.

“We can’t think we’ve already won, it’s all to be decided. We got a good result at Camp Nou, we have the advantage, but we need to play as though it were 0-0.

“Anything could happen in a one-off game, so we need to try and win the game without thinking of anything else.

“Of course there’s a chance [of losing], extraordinary things happen in football.

“We need to make sure that doesn’t happen, we know that the team we face struggle to score goals, but we can’t go out there thinking that they can’t play.

“They have really good players, and and mistake or over-confidence could cost us dear.”

Roma may have lost 4-1 in the first leg, but they managed to keep Lionel Messi quiet…

“Every team and Coach wants to stop the best players from hurting them. We have Messi, and that has an effect on the opposition.

“They certainly did well [to limit him] in the first leg, but we know he can always find the key to be decisive. We need to see how much they can restrict our players and react accordingly.

“Then of course we’ll have to pay attention to [Edin] Dzeko and others.”
