Legendary former Milan Coach Arrigo Sacchi calls Maurizio Sarri’s Napoli “the most important thing seen in Italy in the last 20 years”.

Sarri failed to win a trophy in his three seasons with the Partenopei, and has already been replaced by Carlo Ancelotti, but the former Italy CT is still full of praise.

“[Pep] Guardiola’s [Manchester] City and Sarri’s Napoli say more than the whole rest of the world,” Sacchi told La Repubblica.

“[Pep] Guardiola’s [Manchester] City and Sarri’s Napoli say more than the whole rest of the world,” Sacchi told La Repubblica.

“Napoli are the most important thing seen in Italy in the last 20 years. Sarri had unknown players, a tiny turnover compared to Juve – who also took their best player – but he reminded everyone that beauty is a value, not just a dream.

“Sarri succeeded in the most difficult task, training pressing. You see, Milanese and Torinese have pressing in their DNA, the people in those cities are in a hurry.

“Naples isn’t like that, so even some cultural enterprises are worth double. I fear all this will end without Sarri, which I don’t want for my dear friend Ancelotti.”
