Milan goalkeeper Pepe Reina happy to return to Napoli for his first game – “a piece of my heart has remained there”.

The Spaniard left the Partenopei on a free transfer this summer, and after last weekend’s Genoa game was postponed his debut could come at the Stadio San Paolo.

“It was written, it had to go this way,” Reina told Milan TV.

“It will be a huge pleasure for me to go back to somewhere I called home for so many years, I had wonderful experiences and I can only thank Naples and its people.

“A piece of my heart remained there, and at the end of the season – if Milan can’t win it – I hope they win the Scudetto.”

One player who won’t get a good reception is Gonzalo Higuain…

“I’ve seen a very motivated and fit Gonzalo, with a huge desire to really help out Milan and have a great season.

“He’ll have a very important role in our growth.”
