Italian defender Andrea Raggi has been banned for five Monaco matches, after punching former Roma man Clément Grenier.

The former Bologna and Palermo man was defending a corner for Monaco against Rennes, and tangled with Grenier.

Raggi swung a left hook at his opponent, and was shown a straight red card by the referee.

He has now been banned for five Ligue 1 matches, while Lilian Thuram’s son, Marcus, who plays for Guingamp has been given a four-match ban for slapping Daniel Congré of Montpellier.
