The Brazilian's contract renewal saga still won't settle down as La Nazione reports today that the ‘keeper's relationship with his current club is increasingly in the balance.

The Florentine outlet suggests that rather than lose the 25-year-old on a free transfer in June, La Viola are considering the most remunerative options to sell him in January.

Roma have recently been said to be closest to Neto, and may be able to compete with the greater financial means of Liverpool and Juventus by adding an extra player of their own.

However, Fiorentina's original request – reportedly relayed directly from Coach Vincenzo Montella – involved midfielder Alessandro Florenzi, which the club from the capital apparently turned down decisively.

Some rumours yesterday suggested that Roma were in fact out of the running and that Juventus were the most viable option in Serie A.
