Gianfranco Zola is being tipped to take over from Francesco Guidolin as Coach of Udinese next season, as he already works for the Pozzo family.

Guidolin had already warned last summer that he might quit in order to take a break, as the stress was becoming too much for him.

Although the tactician has taken up yoga in a bid to relax, he is still hinting that he’s taken Udinese as far as he can after elimination from the Champions League play-offs and Europa League group phase.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the ideal replacement is already working for the Pozzo family, who own Udinese, Spanish side Granada and Watford.

Zola is currently the manager of Watford and could well be given an opportunity to lead a club in Serie A for the first time in 2013-14.

Although he was assistant manager to Pierluigi Casiraghi at the Italy Under-21 side, Zola has never actually worked as a Coach in the Peninsula.

He had been heavily tipped to take over at Lazio last season, but Edy Reja took back his resignation.
