Lazio are looking to next season with reports Edy Reja could be replaced by Gianfranco Zola or current Chelsea manager Roberto Di Matteo.

Reja has a fractious rapport with President Claudio Lotito, director Ighli Tare and a section of the fans, so his confirmation on the bench is far from certain.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Zola is the top target and had already been contacted in February when Reja briefly offered his resignation.

Zola was the co-Coach of the Italy Under-21 side with Pierluigi Casiraghi, but his only other management experience has been in England with West Ham United.

Another option comes from the Premier League, as the Corriere dello Sport suggests Di Matteo could take over the Lazio job after his time with Chelsea comes to an end.

Di Matteo was assistant manager to Andre Villas-Boas and replaced the Portuguese tactician in March as an interim manager.

Despite winning the FA Cup and reaching the Champions League Final, the Stamford Bridge side is not expected to confirm him on the bench for next season.

Lazio could still qualify for the Champions League and it would be a return to the Olimpico for Di Matteo, who played here from 1993 to 1996.

His other management experience is at Milton Keynes Dons and West Bromwich Albion.
