Gianfranco Zola said “it was an honour to be considered” as Coach of Inter, but he wishes Stefano Pioli the best.
Former Cagliari tactician Zola had come in for a meeting with the Nerazzurri’s Chinese owners, the Suning Group, when Frank de Boer was fired.
“It was an honour for me to be considered by Inter,” Zola told Sky Sport Italia.
“I knew that it would not be easy for me, because there were some very good Coaches in the running with me.
