“I didn’t play for 57 days, I’m sorry. It can happen.”

Alexis Saelemaekers was sent off after 74 minutes and gave Milan a scare towards the end, as Cagliari kept pushing for a comeback.
“In one less, it’s not easy to play against a team which it’s already hard to play against.”
The talisman was supported by a young attacking trident in the absence of Hakan Calhanoglu, but he said the youngsters keep motivating him to do more.
“Young people motivate me, they challenge me to see who runs more,” he added. “I don’t give up and show that I can run like them.
“We are doing well, we are almost halfway through the championship. Now, the most difficult games are starting.
“It will be a very tough programme, but with Mandzukic, [Soualiho] Meite, I don’t know if more people will arrive.”
On Mandzukic he said: “I’m happy, we now have two that scare our opponents.”
Zlatan had previously said he believes Milan should aim to win the Scudetto and dream big, but when asked if he believes in the championship, he replied: “I believe in Zlatan.”
The reporter asked the usual question about the possible renewal with Milan.
“It depends on him, on Paolo [Maldini]. I’m very happy at Milan. This return to Milan has changed me a lot. I’m very happy.”
