Inter legend Walter Zenga sees a “decisive” match against Tottenham Hotspur in the Champions League tonight.

The Nerazurri have had a poor start to the season, but Coach Luciano Spalletti believes tonight could be a turning point for his side.

“At his Press conference, Spalletti underlined that the team didn’t play with enough ruthlessness, and that’s what we saw against Parma,” Zenga pointed out on SportItalia.

“The players made the movements they needed to, but there wasn’t the right edge. This is a game which is perfect to reverse that trend.

“In the Champions League against Tottenham you can’t fail to be motivated. It’s the right match to ensure that things change.

“I’ve always been convinced that it’s the players who go on to the pitch, and they can solve potential with their quality.

“There are problems right now and Spalletti said as much in his Press conference, but he also said that the match with Tottenham is the right one and that Inter can be reborn because they’re a good team.

“It’s important to understand that in a group with Tottenham and Barcelona it’s not easy, you can’t fail in the first game.

“It’s a decisive one, because if they win they can prepare for the Genoa match with more attention and enthusiasm, whereas if they don’t win it becomes more complicated.

“Winning gives you the chance to work and improve on mistakes with a smile.”
