Crotone boss Walter Zenga accepts responsibility for his side’s 3-2 loss to SPAL.

The Pitagorici have now lost back-to-back matches against Benevento and the Biancazzurri, meaning they now lie just one point above the relegation zone.

“The responsibility is mine,” Zenga said after what could prove to be a costly defeat against Leonardo Semplici’s team.

“I trusted the players who had done very well previously and we didn’t find the right fluidity in our play.

“SPAL’s third goal killed us off, there was too much confusion and too much individual decision-making in trying to get back into the game.”

Crotone have now won just once in nine matches, with Zenga calling for his players to demonstrate more calmness.

“We need to start again in training with more calmness. We need to be alert to all the fine details.”
