“I made a lifestyle choice to be in Dubai with my family, where the standard of living is excellent,” ex-Al Jazeera Coach Zenga told Radio Onda Libera.

“I finished my experience with Al Jazeera and took time to think things over, I’d even call it a sabbatical year. I look around and think positive, then we’ll see what happens.

“I won’t close the door on anyone or anything. I had some opportunities recently and shelved them because I hoped that I would be called in by Inter. Now that’s over.”

Former Inter goalkeeper Zenga had been heavily linked with the Nerazzurri bench until Roberto Mancini was chosen to replace Walter Mazzarri.

Zenga’s previous Serie A management experience extends to spells at Palermo and Catania, but he has also worked in Serbia, Romania, America and Dubai.
